Colocated Servers
Pros:
Cons:
- Technical expertise required
A colocated server is owned by you and located
in a datacenter where you lease space. Generally, you will buy and
configure your server then send it to the colocation provider. They
will install it in their datacenter and give you the IP address
so you can log in. some providers allow you to go to their datacenter
and work on your server directly if you need to. The benefits are
complete control. No one touches the server but you and you can
can configure it anyway you like.
