There are many free webhosting provides (shared hosting) whose services range from very bad to pretty good. Also, many of the free webhosts aren't really free. They will charge a large setup fee or require that you register your dns through them at a higher cost that normal dns registration. This does not meant that it isn't a good deal. Compare their services with those of inexpensive shared webhosts to see which fits your needs better.

Mosts hosts that are trully free don't allow a site to make money by selling products or placing ads on the site. These providers can be perfect for personal and hobby sites but aren't suited to business related sites. Plus, there is no reason to deal with the hassles of a free web host when the shared webhosting costs are so low.
